StoryPass is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app operates entirely offline and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information.

We do not collect any data.
StoryPass:
- Does not collect personal information
- Does not collect usage analytics
- Does not track user behavior
- Does not use cookies or similar technologies
- Does not connect to the internet
- Does not share data with third parties
Local Storage
StoryPass stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Usage statistics: number of passwords generated and word swaps performed (stored in macOS UserDefaults)
- Preferences: your keyboard shortcut settings
This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not transmitted to any server
- Is not accessible to Discerne.co, LLC or any third party
- Can be deleted by uninstalling the app
Password Generation
All passwords are generated locally on your device using Apple's cryptographically secure random number generator (SecRandomCopyBytes). Generated passwords are:
- Not stored by the app
- Not transmitted anywhere
- Only placed in your clipboard when you copy them
Third-Party Services
StoryPass does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
Children's Privacy
StoryPass does not collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
